And Now Gavin Newsom’s Worst Nightmare Comes True!

On Monday afternoon, California Secretary of State Dr. Shirley N. Weber announced that the campaign to recall California Governor Gavin Newsom has reached more than 1.6 million signatures. This means that the governor might face a recall vote later this year.

Well, it’s no wonder that the total signatures have passed the number of required signatures. After all, Californians have had issues with Newsom’s policies since 2019.

And, his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and state-wide lockdowns brought the state’s economy down.

In a statement, Weber said, “This now triggers the next phase of the recall process, a 30-business-day period in which voters may submit written requests to county Registrars of Voters to remove their names from the recall petition. A recall election will be held unless a sufficient number of signatures are withdrawn.

In short, unless a significant number of people do not take back their signatures within 30 days, a recall election will be held.

After the announcement, Newsom said in a tweet that there was “too much at stake” for a “Republican recall.”

“This Republican recall threatens our values and seeks to undo the important progress that we’ve made from fighting COVID to helping struggling families, protecting our environment, and passing common-sense gun violence solution,” he wrote.

“There’s too much at stake.” Once again, another Democrat blaming the Republicans for their own failure.
