Kim Pegula, the owner of Buffalo Bills, was questioned concerning the topic “players kneeling during the national anthem.” She stated that she honors the rights of individuals who desire to revolt the Flag over systemic racial bias— without joining them.

In an interview with “One Bills Live.” Kim Pegula discussed why she wouldn't be kneeling— since she's South Korean-born nationalized U.S. citizen.

“So the flag for me is very profound,” she continued. “For me to stand for the flag and the anthem, for me personally, that is a right that I now so much appreciate.”

“I'm not going to kneel,” she said.

“We've all been listening. We've been learning to love other people and understand experiences and what they have gone through, what they've experienced, and what maybe the anthem or the Flag means to them is truly different than what I went through,” she continued.

“Honestly, that's how I feel. I will be standing, but that's my choice. That's my right. I would hope that the players as well respect that, just like I'm going to respect them for what they want to do if they so choose to,” Pegula stated.

“I think, and I would hope that our players or anybody would understand that if I'm standing, that does not mean I am for racism.” “Certainly, it's not. And the same goes for our players. If they choose to kneel, or whoever wants to protest, I don't think it's because they don't love the country or they don't respect our military or any of that,” Pegula stated.

President Donald Trump had never failed to demonstrate his passion and love for the American Flag. It deeply frustrates the President of the United States when an individual disrespects the Flag the President holds high regard. President Trump appreciates the sight of an N.F.L. team owner, expressing her respect and gratitude for the American Flag.

Trump has a similar stance about standing for the national anthem and Flag.

During his rally last Saturday night in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the President argued that it should be against the law to burn the American Flag and that anyone caught doing so should go to jail.

Trump told the crowd that Congress should take up legislation — that would also require a Constitutional Amendment — to make burning the American Flag a criminal act punishable by one year in prison.

“Two days ago, leftist radicals in Portland, Oregon, tore down a statue of George Washington and wrapped it in an American flag and set the American flag on fire,” Trump stated.

“And you know, we ought to do something, Mr. Senators… we ought to come up with legislation that if you burn the American Flag, you go to jail for one year,” Trump stated.

“We should have legislation that if somebody wants to burn the American flag and stomp on it, but just burn it, they go to jail for one year,” he added.

In the previous year, President Donald Trump promoted the legislation by Steve Daines, a Montana Republican Sen., that would prohibit flag burning by passing a constitutional amendment. Unfortunately, the legislation has not gone anywhere, and it's just rotting in Congress.

  1. I respect her choice but her experiences do not reflect the experiences of Black men in America! This was NEVER about the anthem, flag or the troops. The sooner SOME white conservatives freaking understand this, the sooner we all can agree to move forward. The NFL finally gets it. SOME conservatives keeping the Systemic Racism whistle blowing by making the issue about the Anthem. That time is UP gentleman.

    • Hey, D. A.! I am a white conservative and this Systemic Racism is a lot of BLM BS! Maybe you should pay attention to what the black leaders of this movement really want and then maybe, just maybe you will understand (although I doubt it) why we feel the way we do about the flag and our country. The sooner you blacks accept the fact you have basically the same rights as everyone else and all the 300 hundred years ago crap (that does not affect you at all) should have no effect on you today, the better off you will be. Get a grip and learn to be an American, not an African!.

  2. If it is not about the Anthem, why do they do it then? Why not Halftime or after the Anthem just before the game starts?? During the Anthem gives out the wrong message!

  3. I really don’t care. I’m not watching the NFL anymore. I quit watching the NBA an the MLB a long time ago because they suck. Between NFL rules, Goddell , and the fact that players can use their workplace as a platform, in done. I watch sports to be entertained not reminded of all the problems w/have. It’s truly ridiculous, if I kneeled at a morning meeting or during a business conference I’d be fired or at the very least reprimanded an told not to do it again. It is not 1968, players have Social Media w/thousands to millions of followers. That is where they should speak their minds, to the people who want to listen to them. Players and celebrities both think everyone wants to hear what they have to say, sorry not true. I’ll stick to MMA there is no National Anthem or anytime for personal protesting, their minds need to be on the fight. After the fight you can go on their Twitter or Instagram account an listen to them if you want. YOUR CHOICE.
The people stood up to the NFL before an we seen ratings go right in the toilet. We need to do it again…..
