California Representative Maxine Waters has again incited left-wing violence, but Congress will not let her do as she pleases this time.
Last week, Waters incited leftists into violence in response to Daunte Wright’s death at the hands of a police officer in Minnesota. In response, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy promised to take action against Waters if House Speaker Nancy Pelosi did not.
“Maxine Waters is inciting violence in Minneapolis — just as she has incited it in the past,” McCarthy said in a statement. “If Speaker Pelosi doesn’t act against this dangerous rhetoric, I will bring action this week.”
At Brooklyn Center, Minneapolis, Waters answered questions encouraging Democrats to “stay in the street and demand justice.”
“As a black man, despite all of the efforts, I feel like nothing changes… What needs to happen this year that’s different from all the years before?” a reporter asked her.
“We’re looking for a guilty verdict,” Waters responded. “And we’re looking to see if all of this that took place and has been taking place after they saw what happened to George Floyd.”
“If nothing does happen, then we know that we’ve got to not only stay in the street, but we’ve got to fight for justice,” she continued. “But I am very hopeful, and I hope that we’re going to get a verdict that will say guilty, guilty, guilty. And if we don’t, we cannot go away.”
She added that the verdict should not be guilty of manslaughter but rather murder. After Waters told Black Lives Matter activists to be “more confrontational,” someone opened fire on the Minnesota National Guard in a drive-by shooting in north Minneapolis.
Unable to keep letting Waters do what she wants, Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene created a petition to have Representative Waters be expelled from Congress.
Compared to former President Trump’s supposed incitement, this is clearly inciting violence. In fact, a shooting happened just a few hours after she told leftists to be “more confrontational.”
Going out of her way just to incite more violence is not something a congresswoman should be doing.
